Flower pots and flower gardens are not just for the summertime. With fabric flower pots you can create a colorful focal point for your patio or garden. One of the prettiest ways to incorporate a flower pot into your container gardening is by using fabric flowers such as those that are made of cotton, polyester and sateen. There are many ways that you can use them including flowerpot decorating, pot gardening and even to simply add color to your yard. Let us explore some of the ways you can use fabric around your home and garden.
Plant pot gardening has long been a favorite of many people. Not only is it a convenient way to grow plants from seed, but it is also the perfect way to save money. If you are interested in trying out this hobby but do not have much experience, then it might be a good idea to try out some fabric flower pots first. Fabric pots are not that difficult to assemble and usually you can do the assembly yourself without any help. With a little bit of help you will be able to create a beautiful garden in no time.
There are a few things that you should know before you start making your own garden or pot. First of all, it is important that you know how to read measurements so that you can successfully put together your garden or pot. The amount of space that you have available can determine the size of the pots that you will be able to make. However, there are many different sizes of mod podge flower pots that you can find at reasonable prices so it does not really matter what the size is as long as you can get a container gardening project started.
To begin, it is important that you cut slits in the bottom of your pot so that you can place the soil inside. Using a sharp pair of wire cutters, carefully snip off the corner of the pot and then use those pieces to complete the sides. After that, you can trace the outline of the pot on the piece of cardboard that you have just cut with the outline to create a shape. After you have created the shape, carefully glue the cardboard to the pot by gluing one side of the piece of cardboard to the bottom of the pot and then slowly pressing down until the soil is securely pressed into the bottom of the pot.
If you are using vinyl flower pots then you will also have to do the same process that I did for the fabric pot. Basically, all you have to do to make your DIY planting bench mod podge is to attach the fabric piece to the bottom of the pot in the same way that you attach the plastic piece. Once the fabric is attached, you will then want to slowly press down until you reach the bottom of the flower pots and then carefully lift up on the fabric piece to reveal the soil.
Next, you will want to cut slits in the fabric around the rim of the pot. This is what will allow the water to drain. After that, you will want to slowly stitch the fabric around the rim of the pot and then onto the flat bottom. Then, you will repeat this process on the other side of the pot and then finally you will attach the plastic to the rim.
When you are done, you will want to carefully remove the excess fabric so that the pot will sit level on the table. Then, you will want to remove the excess plastic from the bottom of the pot and then cut slits at about a forty-five degree angle into the bottom of the pot. This will allow the excess water to drain. After that, you will repeat the same process for the other side of the pot.
Before you are finished, you will want to add a few more drops of water onto the pot to make sure that the fabric is completely waterproof. If you don’t have any extra fabric around the house, you can always purchase an extra roll of plastic. Once everything is all ready, you will want to assemble the pot and then drizzle the lovely flowers. After that, you will want to bring your beautiful mod podge flower pots to your home where you will be able to enjoy them for a long time.
